Menopause- A New Life

Every female in  her life has to go through some biological process and one of them is menopause. It is the stage when the menstrual cycle stops due to alternation in female hormones resulting in various disturbances in the body such as hot flush, emotional disturbances, sudden weight gain, hair loss, change in voice etc.

Ayurveda clearly provides the procedures to deal with these. Ayurvedic therapies such as - 'Snehan and Swedan' regulate the circulation and establishes the balance between the hormones.

ABOUT THE RETREAT

This retreat is meant for those going through or had their menopause. Menopause brings with it various problems such as weight gain, hot flush, emotional disturbances, etc. Through various ayurvedic therapies such as Snehana (therapeutic massage), Swedana (steam with herbs), shirodhara, etc. Ayurveda successfully helps in clearing up the effects of menopause and bestows a healthy state of mind and body to the participant.

WHEN IS THE RETREAT

This is a two week retreat held on selected dates round the year. Participants need to preregister for the same. The dates are announced on our website as and when they are launched.

  • 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM        - Ayurvedic Therapies and Spa

  • 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM      - Bath and Breakfast and rest

  • 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM      - Psychological and emotional Healing session

  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM         - Rest, 1:00 PM Lunch 

  • 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM         - Therapies

  • 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM         - Yoga & Pranayam Session 

  • 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM         - Evening Tea/ Refreshment/ Fun Activities

  • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM         - Evening Prayers/ Meditation

  • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM         - Evening Walk and Relaxation 

  • 8:00 PM                             - Dinner 

  • 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM         - Discussions/ Activities/ Healing (Past traumas- if required)

NOTE: At Anmol Alayam we observe fasting from grains on all Ekadashis (i.e. eleventh day of the lunar calendar)
